1:32 Napoleonic Austrian Line Infantry - in Action (18 figures) is a set of eighteen unpainted figures of Austrian line infantry in action poses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of eighteen unpainted figures of Austrian line infantry of the Napoleonic Wars in 1:32 scale, in action poses: firing, loading and advancing. The large scale gives a figure room for painting work that cannot be managed in 1:72. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material.
Austrian line infantry wore white coats with colored facings that differed from regiment to regiment. It fought mainly in line and its great strength was its staying power in defense. In 1809 at Aspern it dealt Napoleon his first defeat in an open battle, a moment that showed the French army was not invincible. The soldiers of that time wore the shako on their heads; the older helmet had disappeared by then.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do not build the white coat out of pure white: start with a light gray and use white only on the highest points. Pick out the facings with a fine brush at the very end.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
