1:32 Masks Messerschmitt Bf 108 in Spain is a set of masks for a model of the Bf 108 aircraft in Spanish service.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut masks for a model of the German four-seat touring and liaison aircraft Bf 108 in 1:32 scale, focused on machines used in Spain. It is not a model but an aid for painting. The masks are laid on the relevant areas and sprayed over, and once they are removed an exact outline is left with no guesswork by hand.
The Bf 108 was an all-metal low-wing monoplane with an enclosed four-seat cabin, folding wings and retractable landing gear, that is a very modern machine for its day. Besides Germany it reached other countries as well, and in Spain it was used both before and after the war, with local machines carrying their own markings and color schemes. It is exactly these different Spanish liveries that make this aircraft an interesting subject for modelers who want something other than the usual German variant.
Lift the masks with tweezers and lay them down with dry hands, as grease from the fingers worsens adhesion. Once a mask is on, press the edge down with a blunt tool so that paint does not creep under it. Spray in thin coats perpendicular to the edge. Take the masks off as soon as the paint has set and pull them back at an angle onto themselves. Paint the cockpit frames in the interior shade first and only then in the outer one, so that the transition looks right from the inside.
The set contains masks only. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
