A plastic kit set in 1:700 scale from the Japanese brand Aoshima, from the waterline line. This is not a single model but a collection of small helicopters of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, meant to complete ship models and aviation or airfield dioramas.
The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force operates a wide range of helicopters. The set holds types such as the OH-1 scout, the AH-64D and AH-1S attack helicopters, the CH-47D transport, the UH-60JA utility machine and the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor. Each machine is worked up as a small unit to match the small scale.
Given how small the parts are, a sharp knife, tweezers and cyanoacrylate glue come in handy. Painting can be done with an airbrush or a fine brush, and a coat of primer first helps toward a uniform shade. Glue the rotors and landing gear only after painting, so that the small parts are handled as little as possible.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
