A masking set for spraying the tactical numbers and insignia onto a model of the Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. D tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Pz.Kpfw. III was one of the main German medium tanks of the Second World War, but its earliest builds came about before it. The Ausf. D variant was built in only small numbers, carried a 3.7 cm gun and differed from the later batches both in its running gear and in the shape of its commander's cupola. It served mainly to prove the design and to train crews, until more numerous builds with thicker armor replaced it in production.
The package brings masking stencils for the tactical numbers and unit insignia for a model in 1:35 scale. The markings are therefore not stuck on as a decal but sprayed directly into the finish. The result has no glossy carrier film around it and causes no trouble even on a rough surface, where decals often silver.
Apply the stencils to a dry base coat, that is before spraying the markings, and press the edges down carefully. Lay the paint on perpendicular to the surface and in several thin coats; one heavy coat will creep under the edge and the numeral will smear. Remove the mask while the paint has only flashed off. With numerals do not forget the inner parts of the markings, if the set holds them separately, and first check the placing dry against period references.
For modelers of early German vehicles who want their markings straight in paint. Paints, thinner and other modeling material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
