A masking set for the windows and vision ports of a model of the Israeli Nagmachon heavy carrier in its late build, 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Nagmachon is an Israeli heavily armored personnel carrier built on the chassis of the Centurion tank. It came about for deployment in built-up terrain, where resistance to mines and to fire from close quarters is valued. On the hull it carries a raised armored superstructure with angular windows of tough glass, for which the name Doghouse took hold; from it the crew observes the surroundings and fires without exposing itself. The late build differs from the earlier ones in modifications to the superstructure and the add-on protection.
The package brings masking items cut for the windows and vision ports of a model in 1:35 scale. By covering the clear parts before spraying, the glass stays transparent and the frame around it gets a sharp edge with no tracing by brush.
Wash the clear parts before masking and let them dry completely, so that the film will hold. Seat the mask exactly into the frame of the window and press the edges down with a toothpick or a blunt wooden stick; a fingernail easily leaves a scratch on clear plastic. Spray perpendicular and in thin coats, as a heavy coat likes to creep under the edge. Remove the mask while the paint has only flashed off, and wipe the remains of adhesive away with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol. Do not let alcohol onto the glass itself.
For modelers who build modern Israeli vehicles and want their windows clean and their frames sharp. Paints, glue and other modeling material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
