A set of masking stencils for spraying a model of the Soviet T-44 medium tank in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The T-44 was a Soviet medium tank from the end of the Second World War. It followed on from the T-34, but was given a completely new hull with a transversely mounted engine; it was lower and made better use of the space inside. Series production got under way in 1944 and this type practically did not see action in the fighting of the Second World War. Its design became the starting point for the later and far more widespread T-54.
The package brings masking stencils for spraying the surface of a model in 1:35 scale. The items are shaped in advance, so cutting out and measuring fall away and it is enough to transfer the stencil to the right place. The paint thus stays within sharp edges, which are hard to achieve with tape and masking putty.
Apply the masks to a dry and degreased base before spraying rather than after it. Press the edges down carefully, so that paint does not creep under them, and spray perpendicular to the surface in several thin coats; one heavy coat spreads easily under the edge of the mask. Remove the film while the sprayed paint has only flashed off, because from fully cured paint it peels off along with the edge of the coat. Wipe the remains of adhesive off with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol.
For modelers who want their color divisions straight in the finish and do not want to rely on decals alone. Working with masks assumes an airbrush or a spray can and patience in pressing the edges down. Paints, thinner and other modeling material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
