Eduard He 219A-7 SPACE — 1:48 (for Tamiya)

A detail set from the SPACE line by the Czech company Eduard, in 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane kit, but a set of accessories for increasing the cockpit's realism. The SPACE line combines color 3D decals of instruments and panels printed on carrier paper with steel photo-etched parts — typically seat belts and small cockpit details. The set is designed for the Tamiya kit of the night fighter Heinkel He 219A-7 Uhu.

The real subject

The Heinkel He 219 Uhu was a German twin-engine night fighter from the end of the Second World War, one of the first production aircraft fitted with ejection seats. The A-7 version was among the final production variants. A richly equipped cockpit full of instruments is a rewarding subject for a detail set.

Use

• Designed for the Tamiya He 219A-7 kit in 1:48 scale.
• Moisten only the backing paper under the element — with a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap — and lift the element off with tweezers.
• The decal has no adhesive layer of its own; fix it with white glue. Do not use a decal softener, as the chemicals will damage the printed resin.
• Glue the steel photo-etched parts (belts) with cyanoacrylate (super glue).

Who the set is for

For modelers who want to quickly and effectively raise their He 219's cockpit above box-stock level. It assumes you already have the base model and a steady hand for working with fine parts. The instrument colors are printed, so hand-painting is not needed.

An add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
