The Flyhawk detail set with the German 4 cm FlaK 28 naval anti-aircraft gun in 1:700 scale replaces plastic weapons with faithful parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a ship kit but a detail accessory for the armament. The set holds fine brass photo-etched parts and turned barrels for building faithful models of the German 4 cm FlaK 28 naval anti-aircraft gun, that is, the licensed version of the well-known Bofors in Kriegsmarine service. It replaces simplified plastic weapons and raises the realism of a model in 1:700 scale.
The 4 cm FlaK 28 was the German naval designation for an anti-aircraft gun derived from the Swedish 40 mm Bofors. The Kriegsmarine fielded it as an effective light anti-aircraft weapon on surface ships in the later phase of the Second World War.
Separate the small photo-etched parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface and seat the turned barrels in the assembled mounts. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue in small drops; tweezers and a magnifier help. Degrease them before painting, go over them with primer and paint them in a naval gray.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
