Grit 320 is the coarsest of this range and is intended for the first, coarser sanding: it quickly levels parting seams, cleans up the marks of trimmed sprue gates and small irregularities. The flexible foam abrasive adapts to the shape of a part and sands evenly.
For modelers who need to clean up parts quickly and cleanly before further sanding. After 320 grit it is advisable to continue with finer grits, 400 and up, to the final smoothing.
