Water-slide decals in 1:12 scale from the Japanese maker Studio27. The set reproduces the livery and sponsor logos of the Ducati Desmosedici GP9 motorcycle in the finish from the post-season test at Valencia in November 2008, where the machine first went out on track. It serves to finish a plastic model of the motorcycle.
The Ducati Desmosedici GP9 was the works MotoGP class prototype for the 2009 season, with a V4 engine of 800 cc. It brought a fundamental novelty in the form of a carbon fiber load-bearing structure, in which the engine made up part of the stiffness of the frame. The post-season test at Valencia at the end of 2008 was its first public outing.
Apply the decals to the gloss painted surface of the fairing, ideally over a layer of clear coat. A softener and setting solution will help the decals adhere to the rounded shapes of the fairing and the tank. Finally go over the parts with clear coat to even them out and protect them.
