Studio27 1:24, a decal sheet for the Lamborghini Murciélago B-Racing No. 13, the 2006 season for the Aoshima kit. It contains decals only, this is not a kit: the model of the car has to be your own.
Responsibility details are not available.
Straight away at the start: these are not kits, but markings. In the package there is a decal sheet and nothing more, no plastic parts. You will use it on the Lamborghini Murciélago model from Aoshima in 1:24 scale, which has to be your own. That is exactly why such sheets are bought: a kit has one livery in the box, at most two, yet the racing Murciélago started under various teams and in various seasons. Anyone who wants exactly that car from exactly that year reaches for a sheet.
The Lamborghini Murciélago is a historically important car: it was the first Lamborghini created under the leadership of Audi. The road version had a V12 and all-wheel drive and a brutal, angular look that could not be mistaken for anything else.
The racing R-GT was a rarity. It came about in cooperation with Reiter Engineering, the naturally aspirated V12 stayed, but the all-wheel drive disappeared from it, as the racing version drove the rear wheels only and was markedly lighter. In the GT races of the time Lamborghini was far from being as much a matter of course as Porsche or Ferrari; it was entered in small numbers, with private teams, and that is exactly why these cars are so interesting for collectors. A lively V12 in a field full of flat-sixes and V8s was impossible to overlook in the pits and in the grandstands alike.
This sheet carries the livery of the B-Racing team with car number 13 from the 2006 season. Watch out for mix-ups: a sheet for the Murciélago in All-Inkl.com colors from the 2007 season exists as well, which is a different year and a different team. Check which car you want to build, so that you do not buy that other version.
Decals belong on gloss clear coat, never on a matte one. On a matte surface air is caught under the decal and the edges start to silver, as a milky frame appears around every marking. So gloss clear coat first, and only then the decals.
The Murciélago may have angular lines, but it has plenty of large sloping areas, intakes and edges across which the markings run. On those decal softener pays off, and with large sponsor markings it is practically a necessity. Do not forget either that the sheet does not cover the whole body: you spray the basic color of the car and it has to match in shade. At the end clear coat and polishing, so that the model gains that wet look of a real race car.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints, clear coat and softener are not included. If you want the version from 2007, choose the sheet in All-Inkl.com colors.
