The race and the color scheme

The twenty-four-hour race at the Nürburgring is run on the combination of the northern loop with the grand prix circuit, one lap measures around twenty-five kilometers and cars of several performance classes move on the course at the same time. An endurance form therefore looks different from a road car: it carries race numbers, class designations, the marks of the team partners and the small lettering around the fuel filler and in the area of the doors. It is precisely these details that make a model a particular car from a particular race, and precisely those are on the sheet.

How to work with the sheet

• Coat the body with gloss clear coat; on a matte surface air is held under the film and the edges turn silver.
• Cut the artwork out close to the printing and soak it in lukewarm water for only a moment.
• Let the decal rest on the paper until it can be moved, and only then transfer it to the part.
• Lay large areas on a wet base, so that they can still be lined up, and press the water out from the center to the edges.
• On recesses and edges softener helps, which pulls the film into the shape.
• Secure the finished printing with a coat at the end, which hides the edges of the film.

For builders of racing cars in the twenty-fourth scale who want an endurance machine from a particular year on the shelf and do not want to put the printing together from several sheets. Even though the sheet is prepared for Fujimi kits, lay the decals on the body before applying them and compare their shape with the part.
