A decal sheet in 1:24 scale for a model of the BMW Z4 GT3 racing car in the form with race number 20 and in the colors of the Schubert team for the twenty-four-hour race at the Nürburgring in 2015. The decals cover the race numbers and the lettering of the car, that is the items that are only hard to replace by painting on a model. The set is built for Fujimi kits, on models of other origin the outline of the parts may not fit.
These are wet decals. Cut the artwork out as close to the edge as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to move over the backing. The base has to be smooth and glossy, so go over the model with gloss clear coat before applying them. Slide the decal into place, press the water out from under it with a cotton swab from the center to the edges and draw the excess off with a cloth. Over shaped areas and edges use softener, so that the artwork settles without folds; then let the decal dry undisturbed and do not touch it. Coat the finished body at the end, which makes the edges of the decals disappear.
With racing cars the quality of the clear coat decides, because the model is largely glossy and every unevenness is visible. So sand the body with a fine abrasive and polish it before the decals. Lay the cut out artwork out beforehand according to the instructions, so that you know what goes where, and work from the large areas to the small lettering.
The set is for builders of racing cars in 1:24 scale. The model, paints, clear coat and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
