The set from Trumpeter contains several tiny models of the Lockheed Martin F-35C Lightning II carrier-based fighter in 1:350 scale. They serve to populate the flight decks and hangars of aircraft carrier kits in the same scale. The parts are injection-molded in plastic.
The F-35C is the carrier version of the modern fifth-generation fighter, adapted for operation from conventional aircraft carriers. Compared with the other versions it has a larger wing and an arrestor hook for landing on an arresting cable. It was taken into service by the US Navy, and the aircraft is notable for its reduced radar signature.
The parts are very small in this scale, so use tweezers, a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic. Clean up the mold seams carefully and spray the models with an airbrush or a fine brush in thin coats. The wings and tail surfaces are the most delicate areas.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
