A resin accessory from Quickboost for models of the Westland Wessex HAS.3 helicopter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the top engine cooling grille with a finely cast part with an open, well-defined structure that the plastic kit cannot faithfully capture.
The Westland Wessex was a British multi-role helicopter based on a Sikorsky design. The HAS.3 version served with the Royal Navy mainly in the anti-submarine role and carried characteristic equipment for hunting and destroying submarines.
Wash off any mold release residue, carefully cut away the casting block, and glue with cyanoacrylate. A dark base coat and light dry brushing to pick out the edges will bring out the open grille.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
