Foliage flakes in a medium green shade for creating leaves, bushes and undergrowth on dioramas and model railways.
Responsibility details are not available.
Foliage flakes are a fine loose material with which the hardest thing in a scene is done: leaves. It is scattered onto the armature of a tree, onto a bush or onto a fence and a bare structure suddenly becomes green volume. The medium green shade is the most universal of all, because it matches mature deciduous growth in full season and goes with most of the grass materials you already have in a scene.
Most often on the crowns of trees and on bushes, further on ivy up a wall, on scrub by a road, on the edge of a wood in the background or on an overgrown heap behind a building. It finds use with military dioramas, with display case scenes and on a railway layout, because it is not tied to any scale or theme. It mixes well with lighter and darker shades, by which growth stops coming across as a uniform area.
Coat the base or the armature with white glue; with larger areas it is advisable to thin the glue with water and a drop of detergent, so that it runs in between the twigs. Scatter the flakes from above in small doses and press them down lightly; once dry, shake the surplus off onto paper and use it again. Work in two or three thin layers; one thick one looks like a carpet. Fix the finished growth with a light overspray of thin glue from a height and unify the shade with a very thin glaze.
Loose scenic material is supplied. A tree armature, glue and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
