Dark Green Trees 12 pcs

HEKI natural trees, dark green, 12 pieces

A set of twelve trees from the German maker HEKI on a framework of natural plant material with dark green foliage. Dark green fills the role of shadow and depth in a landscape. Trees in this shade come across as older and more massive than light pieces and on a layout they prove themselves above all in the background, because darker areas recede optically and a scene gains space through them.

Use

• dark growth in the background of a layout
• the edges of woods and denser groups of trees
• greenery in shaded ravines and on north-facing slopes
• a counterweight to light trees in the foreground

How to work with the small trees

Take the trees by the trunk, as a natural framework is more fragile than plastic. They are stuck into a prepared hole or glued by the foot. If you are building a wood, do not put all the trees at the same height: use lower pieces in the background and raise them toward the viewer; the wood thereby gains depth optically. Spread a crown that is flattened after unpacking out carefully with your fingers and, if needed, add granulate onto a thin layer of glue.

Who the set is for

For builders of model railroad layouts and dioramas who need a darker growth for the background, and for modelers working with the depth of a scene. Dark trees also prove themselves as a screen in front of the edge of a layout or in front of a wall, because the eye is stopped by a dense crown before it reaches the boundary of the scene. It is a modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its landscaping goods as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
