HEKI Grass Tufts, Dark Green 5 to 6 mm, 100 pcs is a set of a hundred tufts in a deep dark shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
One hundred individual grass tufts from the German maker HEKI, five to six millimeters tall, in a dark green shade. Dark grass on a model means damp and shade: it grows in ditches, by water, on north-facing slopes and in the shade of buildings. Used in the right place it gives an area depth; scattered everywhere it weighs the scene down instead, so it is used more deliberately than the basic green.
The tufts are not self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Apply a drop of glue to the base and seat the tuft in it with tweezers. Arrange them irregularly and in clusters. Dark tufts work best paired with lighter ones: dark in the shade and by water, light on sunlit areas. Keep the transition between them irregular rather than in a straight line.
For layout and diorama builders who work with light and shade, and for modelers fine-tuning the damp places in a scene. Dark tufts also suit marking the spot where water seeps out of a slope, because that is where grass tends to be at its deepest green. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
