Strips of Spring Grass 10 mm, 8 pcs

HEKI Grass Strips, Spring 10 mm, 8 pcs

Eight grass strips from the German maker HEKI, one hundred millimeters long, with growth ten millimeters high, in a fresh green spring shade. Ten-millimeter growth is twice as tall as in the basic variant, so the strip does not create a lawn but a continuous line of tall unmown grass. That is exactly what the edges of plots nobody mows look like, and it is precisely that difference between a mown and an unmown area that makes a landscape believable.

Use

• lines of tall grass along fences and walls
• unmown edges of plots and grassy strips between fields
• overgrown ditches and the feet of embankments
• growth along disused tracks
• separating a tended area from a neglected one
• tall grass around derelict buildings and ruins

How to work with the strips

The strips are not self-adhesive; they are fixed with modeling glue, ideally a flock adhesive or PVA glue. Apply a thin line of glue and lay the strip into it, shortening it beforehand with scissors if needed. A tall strip belongs by obstacles and along boundaries, not in the middle of an area. Fray the ends slightly with your fingers and keep the joints between pieces irregular, otherwise the line looks like a strip of carpet laid on a board.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who want to distinguish a tended area from an overgrown one, and for modelers who need a continuous line of tall grass. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
