HEKI decovlies Wild Grass, Forest Floor, 40x40 cm is a large-format mat in muted tones.
Responsibility details are not available.
A grass mat from the German maker HEKI in the decovlies line, measuring forty by forty centimeters. The fibers are applied to a practically invisible backing mesh and the mat tears into irregular pieces with no distinct edge. The forest floor variant is toned to a muted green shading into brown, of the kind that grows in the shade under tree crowns, where grass never gets enough light to deepen in color.
Apply spray adhesive to a new base and press the mat down; on an area already grassed the fibers hold even without glue. In a forest do not cover the whole area, as a real forest has grass only in islands where light falls between the crowns. Between the islands leave bare soil, leaf granulate and twigs. With a large format that goes double, because the temptation to cover the whole area quickly is greatest.
For builders of forest layouts and dioramas and for modelers who need muted greenery over a large area. A muted shade also suits hiding structural seams, because the eye notices them least in shadow. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
