HEKI Pollard Willows 5.5 cm, 3 pcs are three model willows with a cut-back crown.
Responsibility details are not available.
Three finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, five and a half centimeters tall. A pollarded willow is a tree created by human intervention: cutting the crown back regularly at one height forms the characteristic head at the top of the trunk, from which a bundle of thin shoots then sprouts. On a model it is a rewarding element, because such a tree tells by itself that the landscape was worked.
The trees are pushed into a prepared hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. Pollarded willows occur in the landscape in rows along a watercourse or a grassy strip between fields, so set them one behind another at irregular spacing rather than scattered. Leave taller unmown grass beneath them. Spread the flattened shoots carefully with your fingers after unpacking and let them point upward, because they grow vertically out of the head.
For builders of rural layouts and dioramas and for modelers who want an element in a scene that carries its own story. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
