Thirty finished model deciduous trees from the German maker HEKI, five to eleven centimeters tall. The set is put together so that a whole stand can be made from it: thirty pieces will plant up a slope and a field copse, and the six-centimeter spread of heights makes sure the forest will not look like a planted plantation. All the trees also come from a single production batch, so they match in shade and in the structure of the crowns.
The trees are pushed into pre-drilled holes or glued by the foot of the trunk. With thirty pieces, plan the area out in advance and lay the trees out dry first. Taller pieces belong at the back and at the edge, lower ones at the front. Inside the stand leave the ground almost bare, with nothing but leaf granulate, and at the margin add bushes and taller grass, because that is where the forest passes into open country.

Thirty pieces also mean that the growth can be built in stages and still stay consistent. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
