HEKI Spruce Kit 18 to 22 cm, 10 pcs

A kit of model spruces from the German maker HEKI. The box contains ten armatures eighteen to twenty-two centimeters tall and, with them, the flocking material the trees are finished with. The armature is a flexible plastic frame with branches that are spread into shape before flocking. The advantage over finished trees is twofold: every tree turns out different and the modeler decides how dense and how colorful the crown will be.

• making a larger number of trees in one session

How to work with the kit

First spread the branches of the armature outward with your fingers and curl them slightly downward so that the tree does not look like a brush. Then coat the armature with flock adhesive or thinned PVA glue and sprinkle the material from above over a lined box, so that the excess falls through and can be used again. Work from the lower branches upward and turn the armature as you go. Let the glue dry overnight and only then turn the tree over and tap off the excess.

Who the kit is for

For layout and diorama builders who want tall conifers and do not mind the extra work. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
