One finished oak model from Heki, height 20 cm. It is not built or painted; it is simply set in place on the scene. An oak tends to be a fixed point in a landscape: it stands on a field margin, on a pasture, at a crossroads or at the edge of a field and outlives generations of buildings around it. On a diorama it fills the same role just as well, because a spreading tree holds a composition together and gives small elements their scale.
In 1:87 scale a height of 20 cm corresponds to roughly 17.4 meters, in 1:48 scale to about 9.6 meters and in 1:35 scale to approximately 7 meters. In the large modeling scales, then, this is a tree of middle size which will fit onto a scene with a vehicle or figures without outgrowing the whole of it. That is exactly what makes it a rewarding tree for display-case scenes with limited height.
For builders of dioramas, layouts and gaming boards who want a mature tree without assembling an armature and foliage. Remove dust from the crown with a soft brush or with compressed air from a distance. The base, the glue, the paints and scenic scatter are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
