Twelve models of deciduous trees 8 to 13 cm tall. Enough for an avenue along a road, for a copse and for the green edge of a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
Greenery is not bought for a scene one tree at a time but in groups, because a single tree in the middle of open ground is more the exception in a landscape. Twelve pieces in one package cover the whole of an ordinary job: an avenue along a field track, a copse on a field margin, a band of growth that closes off the view at the edge of a base, or greenery behind a building to suggest that the landscape carries on further.
The trees are 8 to 13 cm, so the group is not leveled to one height. In H0 scale, that is 1:87, this range corresponds to trees roughly 7 to 11 meters tall, and in 1:72 scale to approximately 6 to 9 meters. That is the maturity of a younger broadleaf by a road or on a field margin, not of a century-old specimen. Save the tallest pieces for places where they are to screen the view, and the lowest for the foot of an embankment and for fences.
Seat the trunk in a hole drilled in the base to match its diameter and secure it with glue. On a layout, watch the distance from the track: neither the crown nor a branch may reach into the loading gauge, or the first train through will strip the greenery off. Mask the foot of the trunk with grass, bushes or small stones and leave open places between the trees; a continuous wall of crowns takes depth away from a scene.
The package holds twelve trees 8 to 13 cm tall, that is enough greenery for one smaller scene or to fill out a layout under construction. The base, the terrain materials, bushes, the glue and the paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
