Three models of a tall Heki spruce 17 cm tall. A vertical dominant feature of a scene on a diorama and on a layout.
Responsibility details are not available.
A tall slender spruce cannot hide itself in a scene, and that is its main advantage. It draws the eye upwards, gives flat country a third dimension, and at the back of a scene it serves as a screen hiding the join of a backdrop, the edge of a base or the transition from terrain into a wall. Three pieces in the package are enough for a whole group, which handles that job more convincingly than a single tree.
A height of 17 cm corresponds in 1:87 scale to a tree roughly 15 meters tall, in 1:72 scale to about 12 meters and in 1:35 scale to just under 6 meters. There is no scale in the name, so make the conversion for your own scene. With trees this tall, measure the free room above the base in advance as well, so that the scene fits into a display case or under a cover and the crown does not brush the lid.
Tall trees belong more at the back and in the middle of growth, with lower greenery, bushes and scrub toward the edges. A group that drops toward its edges looks natural, whereas three trunks of the same height in the front row will visually close a scene off. Seat the trunks in drilled holes and secure them with glue, and cover the base with scatter or a tuft of grass. Choose irregular spacing.
The main enemy of finished trees is dust. Remove it with a soft brush or with compressed air from a distance; a cloth would tear the growth away. The package holds three trees 17 cm tall. The base, the terrain materials, the glue and the paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
