Three finished model conifers from the German maker HEKI, eighteen to twenty-four centimeters tall. Twenty-four centimeters is a height not commonly bought in a conifer: a tree like that decides the scale of a scene and its dark cone is visible from anywhere. The three are therefore used as a landmark or as a screen, not as part of a continuous stand.
The trees are pushed into a prepared hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With pieces over twenty centimeters make the hole considerably deeper, fix the trunk with glue and let the tree dry propped up in an upright position. Keep the spacing irregular and do not set the three in an equilateral triangle. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers and keep the conical shape.
For builders of larger layouts and dioramas and for modelers who need tall conifers as the landmark of a scene. The three can be supplemented with shorter conifers of the same brand, extending the stand into the depth of the scene. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
