A set of thirty small conifers from the push-in range of trees. Every piece has a spike on the trunk, so it is simply pushed into the base and does not have to be glued. The small trees are finished and foliated, so the way from opening the box to a finished forest is a short one.
Small trees form the mass of a forest on a layout. The viewer is interested in the detail near the edge of the scene, but the area behind it has to be full, otherwise the forest looks like park planting. That is exactly what bulk sets are for: they are planted densely side by side, with heights alternating, and the smaller pieces are left at the back so that an impression of depth arises.
The set is intended for layout builders in the smaller gauges and for anyone who needs to forest a larger area at one go. For the foreground it is better to reach for more mature and more detailed trees; these small pieces are the building material of the forest as a whole. The basis of each small tree is an injection-molded plastic armature whose branches are bent and foliated by hand; production takes place in Germany. Thanks to that, even in a bulk set the pieces are not all identical and the forest does not read as a row of copies.
