Seven weathered spruces ten to fourteen centimeters tall. Conifers with an asymmetrical crown, suited to the middle plane of a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
Seven conifers from the line of weather-beaten spruces. The crown is irregular and slightly thinned out, the trunk straight. A height of ten to fourteen centimeters destines them for the middle plane, that is, between the small trees in the background and the mature specimens at the front. They are supplied finished and foliated.
A scene reads as deep when it has three layers. At the front are the trees whose trunk and crown structure are visible, at the back the mass of small trees, and in between exactly this size. When the middle layer is missing, the transition between foreground and background breaks, and the eye notices before the mind works out why.
The set suits layout builders in the smaller gauges as well as diorama modelers who build a forest in layers. Production takes place in Germany with a large share of hand work, so individual pieces differ in shape and the group does not look machine-made. The core of each small tree is an injection-molded plastic armature whose branches are bent before being foliated. Anyone who wants the transition to the ground to look believable will add low growth and a little leaf litter at the foot of the trunk, so the tree does not look stuck into a green carpet.
