The box brings together thirty-six grass mats in an assortment measuring thirty-four by twenty-four centimeters in a selection of colors. So this is not a single piece but a stock of bases to draw on according to the area you happen to be building. The mats are cut to shape and glued onto the base.
A landscape does not have one color. A meadow by a stream is a deep green, a field after harvest is ocher, forest floor is dark and a south-facing slope is parched to yellow. When a whole area is covered with a single shade, the scene goes stiff. A selection of mats solves that straight away: areas are assembled from several tones, the transitions are covered with scatter and the result looks like a landscape rather than a carpet.
