A flexible film with an embossed rock relief from the German manufacturer HEKI in the largest format: one sheet measuring 80 x 35 cm, that is 0.28 of a square meter of surface. It is shaped by crumpling it in the hand, so a rock face comes about without plaster and without a laborious framework. The manufacturer describes the relief as limestone shale, and the film is not tied to a single scale.
A large sheet is practical precisely because the face can do without joining: the texture then ends nowhere in a blunt edge. Crumple the sheet, open it out again and lay it on the terrain; according to the manufacturer you fasten it with staples or hot glue and need no demanding supporting structure. Paint from a dark coat that runs in toward a light drybrush, so that the edges stand out. Hide the bottom edge under scatter or turf, so that the rock passes smoothly into the terrain.
It suits layout builders dealing with large areas and diorama builders who want rock finished in a single step. It also pays off where terrain is being reworked afterwards and a large unsuccessful stretch has to be covered quickly.
The film is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
