This is not a model or a kit but a loose material for building terrain. Crushed cork serves as a light replacement for stone ballast: it does not load the structure and under the track it damps the noise of the running gear. The dark shade matches a bed that is already in service, that is dusty and stained by the trains. The manufacturer supplies a bag weighing 25 g, and the material is not tied to a single scale, so it serves as a bed in the smaller sizes and as fine rubble in the larger ones.

Use

• track beds of industrial sidings, depots and little maintained lines
• traces of service by the ties, dusty road edges and rubble under rocks
• pour it, spread it with a brush into the shape of a bed and mist the surface lightly with water
• it is fixed with diluted glue dripped onto the dampened surface
• mix it with the light variant, as an uneven bed looks truer than a uniform one

For modelers who are building a line or a diorama with traces of service and do not want to catch the shade up by painting, and for those who make a bed from two shades. Dark cork also suits places where the bed is to be sunk visually and the rails are to stand out. Because the material is light, it is mainly builders of larger layouts, where the weight of ballast adds up, who will make use of it.

Do not inhale the loose material and do not blow it about with compressed air; work over a mat and close the bag after use. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
