Lichen dark green 30 g

Preserved lichen, dark green, 30 g

A bag of preserved natural lichen in a dark green shade; the pack weighs thirty grams. The material is treated so that it stays pliable, does not crumble and needs neither water nor light.

Where a dark shade works

Wherever growth is to look dense and shaded: under tree crowns, on north-facing slopes, along streams and by walls. Dark green also serves as the base onto which a lighter layer is applied. The approach of making the lower part of a bush from dark material and the top from a lighter tuft gives shrubbery a depth that cannot be achieved with a single-color mass.

How to work with it

• Tear the tufts off with your fingers, as scissors crush the material
• Glue with PVA glue, or with cyanoacrylate glue on smooth surfaces
• Build it up in layers, dark at the bottom and light on top
• A glued tuft can be sprinkled with fine granulate
• Small pieces serve as undergrowth at the foot of trees

Who it is for

For layout builders of all gauges and for diorama modelers. The manufacturer is a German company specializing in scenery accessories, and production takes place in Germany. Safety note: a natural material does not belong in the hands of the smallest children, and you should ventilate the room when working with fine granulate. Keep leftover material in a closed bag so that dust does not get in; that would shift the shade and later bushes would differ from the finished ones. The material combines well with the lighter shades in the same line.
