Groundcover light brown 40 g

Scatter material, light brown, 40 g

A bag of fine scatter granulate in a light brown shade weighing forty grams. The material is made on a wood basis and serves to finish off field areas, lanes and dry places.

Where brown is missing most often

Model landscape tends to be too green. In reality there is plenty of brown in it: a plowed field, a field lane, a worn footpath, a forest margin full of needles and a dry hillside on a south-facing slope. Light brown scatter handles all of that and also suits use as an admixture in green areas, where it suggests soil showing through and patches without vegetation.

How to work with the scatter

• Coat the area with PVA glue and sift the scatter on through a sieve
• Work in smaller areas so that the glue does not dry
• Add brown to green areas in small doses
• Once dry, sweep the excess off with a soft brush and use it again
• Mix the shades with each other, as the manufacturer expressly allows for it

Who it is for

For layout builders of all gauges and for diorama modelers. The manufacturer is a German company specializing in scenery accessories, and production takes place in Germany. Safety note: this is a fine loose material that does not belong in the hands of the smallest children; do not breathe in the dust while working and keep the room ventilated. Keep leftover material in a closed bag, otherwise it takes up damp and cakes into lumps when scattered. Damp scatter spreads less well and leaves clumps behind.
