A bed as an accessory for a diorama in 1:35 scale. It suits interior scenes, a gutted house, barracks quarters and a field hospital.
Responsibility details are not available.
Furniture is what turns a set piece into a lived-in place in a diorama. A bed is the strongest piece of all: with it a viewer at once imagines who slept in it and why it stayed there. It finds a use in the interior of a gutted house, where it sticks out from under fallen plaster, in barracks quarters or in a field hospital next to medical figures, in a cellar turned into a shelter and in a civilian scene from a country homestead. The 1:35 scale corresponds to the most common scale of military vehicles and figures, so the bed will fit most diorama arrangements.
This is a diorama accessory in the form of a bed in 1:35 scale. How many parts it is made up of, what dimensions it has and what material it is made of should be checked in the manufacturer's description and instructions; from that you will also see how much work the assembly will take.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Wash the surface and degrease it before painting. A metal frame looks more faithful with an uneven tone and a hint of rust at the welds and at the places where it touches the floor, while a wooden frame will benefit from a slightly inconsistent brown tone. Do not stand the bed in the middle of the room and parallel with the wall; shifted, turned or overturned, it tells more about the scene. Bedding can be added from a thin handkerchief soaked in diluted PVA glue, which holds the shape of the folds once it has dried. Add the dust and rubble of an abandoned interior only at the end, so that they cling in the gaps and in the corners.
The base of a diorama, figures, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
