National markings are the last thing applied to an aircraft model, and yet they decide whether the finished piece reads as believable. An additional sheet suits everywhere the sheet from the kit has yellowed, cracked or been used up during the build, and equally for conversions where the original decals are not enough for the chosen version.
The sheet carries the markings of the Ukrainian Air Force in 1:48 scale. How many motifs it contains, in which sizes and for which positions, is given in the instructions enclosed with the sheet; the size of the marking is the decisive figure for this item, so compare it with your model before building.
Go over the area under the motif with gloss varnish, otherwise the edges of the carrier film will show. Cut out the motif together with its carrier, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and leave it to stand until it comes free. After sliding it into place, align the position by the panel lines, draw off the excess water with a soft cloth and let it dry; over lines and riveting a decal softener will help the motif settle. Finally unify the surface with matte varnish. Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is not a self-adhesive version, because a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined.
The decal sheet is supplied on its own. Paints, varnish, decal softener and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
