A 1:48 masking set for models of the Bf 110, prepared according to the name for kits from the Eduard brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 was a German twin-engine heavy fighter of the Second World War, also used as a fighter-bomber and in later versions as a night fighter. It was powered by two inverted V12 engines and the crew was covered by a long glazed canopy running over most of the top of the fuselage. For a builder that means an exceptionally long row of frames, on which every inaccuracy shows at first glance.
The set of masking parts is made, according to the name, for Bf 110 kits from the Eduard brand in 1:48 scale. The name does not state a particular version and speaks of kits from this brand in general, so compare the designation of your kit with the information on the set's packaging before buying. The scope of the set, that is, which areas are covered, is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The procedure is always the same: wash and degrease the surface, and only then apply the masks and spray. Place the parts with tweezers; on a long canopy work from one end and keep checking that the frame sits right. Press the edges down so that no gap is left anywhere. Apply the paint in thin coats and remove the masks once it has set, while the finish is not yet fully cured.
It suits builders who want to achieve straight, sharp frames on a twin-engine aircraft with a long canopy without having to spend an hour cutting tape. It also comes into its own when you spray a model in several shades and mask the canopy more than once.
The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
