A 1:48 masking set for a model of the MiG-25, prepared according to the name for a kit from the ICM brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-25 is a Soviet twin-engine jet aircraft that came about as a high-speed fighter and was also used in a reconnaissance version. It is a large, angular aircraft with a pair of vertical tail surfaces and sizeable air intakes on the sides of the fuselage. The cockpit is covered by a canopy with pronounced framing, so it gets masked on a model every time the upper and lower shades are sprayed separately.
The name ties the set to the MiG-25 kit from the ICM brand in 1:48 scale. Because this brand offers the MiG-25 in more than one version, compare the designation of your kit with the information on the set's packaging before buying. The scope of the set is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Wash and degrease the surface first, and only then apply the masks, always before spraying. Transfer the parts with tweezers and press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot run under them. Spray in several thin coats instead of one heavy one, and the edge will stay sharp. Remove the masks once the paint has set; on a fully cured finish they come off less easily and may tear the edge of the coat away.
The set is for builders who want clean canopy frames without slow tape cutting, and for anyone who sprays this large aircraft in several shades and needs to cover the canopy more than once.
The kit and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
