Photo-etched steel seatbelts for the cockpit of the Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 in 1:32 scale, a set from the Zoom range for the DBMK kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Seatbelts are among the details that catch the eye first in an open cockpit. The part from the kit is usually only suggested as relief on the seat, whereas separate belts can be draped over the edge of the seat, left hanging loose and arranged the way they would lie after the pilot had left the machine. In 1:32 scale a detail like that is clearly visible.
The set brings photo-etched steel seatbelts for the cockpit of the Sea Fury FB.11 model and belongs to the Zoom range. In shape it is prepared for the DBMK kit in 1:32 scale. The range of parts and where they go in the cockpit is in the instructions enclosed with the set.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface rather than with scissors, or the edge will ripple. A steel belt holds a bend, so it is enough to shape it carefully with tweezers and finish the fold under pressure; the rounded handle of the tweezers is more accurate than your fingers. Polystyrene cement has no effect here; a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or canopy glue is used instead. Degrease the surface before painting, go over it with a primer and finally bring out the buckles with a dry brush.
The set suits modelers building the Sea Fury with an open cockpit who want to take the interior a step further without an extensive conversion. Working with small parts calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and a steady hand. In the package are the photo-etched parts alone; the kit, paints and glue are not supplied with them, unless stated otherwise.
