Responsibility details are not available.
The F-35A Lightning II is a single-seat, single-engine combat aircraft intended for conventional takeoff and landing from land bases. It carries its weapons in closed internal bays so as to keep a smooth surface and a low radar signature, and the landing gear is also hidden behind doors in the skin. It is precisely these spaces that tend to be shallow and plain in a kit, while with the doors open they are clearly visible on the finished model.
Weapon and undercarriage bays in 1:48 scale, made by 3D printing, as the name of the product states. The set is tailored to Tamiya kits. The extent of the set and which parts from the kit are replaced or modified is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Print supports are left on the parts. Cut them off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand down the faces they leave. The parts are not polystyrene, so polystyrene cement has no effect on them; use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) instead. Wash and degrease them before painting. Paint and shade the inside of the bays before you set them into the fuselage, because once the airframe is closed you cannot reach the walls with a brush or an airbrush. Fit the doors dry and check that they sit where they should once the bays are glued in.
For modelers who want to build the model with the bays open and who are not satisfied with the smooth walls from the kit. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
