Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Spanish guerrillas of the Peninsular War in 1:72 scale. The figures in this range are in soft plastic, that is, in a material on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material, and it is enough to allow for it beforehand. The set suits ambushes, raids and scenes away from a formal battlefield.
It is from the Spanish resistance to the French occupation that the word guerrilla comes, meaning little war. These were irregular bands of local inhabitants that attacked couriers, supply columns and isolated garrisons, and they wore the French army down more than open battles did. They looked the part: no uniforms, civilian dress supplemented with captured equipment and weapons of the most varied origin.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics, or the paint will crack and flake off once dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), not with polystyrene cement. With guerrillas it pays to paint every figure differently, as a single shade would defeat the whole point of an irregular band.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
