Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Nassau line infantry of the 1815 campaign in 1:72 scale. It adds to an Allied force a contingent that is hard to find in the usual range, although it played a significant part at Waterloo. The figures in this range are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material.
The Nassau regiments were among the German contingents of Wellington's army and defended, among other places, the farm of Hougoumont and the area around La Haye Sainte, that is, the places where Waterloo was decided. Their uniform was green, which set them apart at once on a battlefield full of red and blue coats. A large part of the soldiers had earlier service in the French ranks behind them, so they were fighting against former comrades.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics, or the paint will crack once dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Build the green coat up from a dark base toward lighter layers, otherwise it looks flat, and bring out the edges with a dry brush.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
