Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Carthaginian veteran infantry armed with the spear, in 1:72 scale. It belongs to a range covering the Punic Wars, from which both sides of the conflict can be put together. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material, and it is enough to allow for it beforehand.
Carthaginian armies were not national armies. They were made up of hired warriors from all over the Mediterranean and of allied contingents that differed in weapons as well as in the way they fought. The veteran infantry of Hannibal's army, after years of campaigning in Italy, had equipped itself with spoils from the defeated Roman legions, so its appearance was a mixture of Punic and Roman kit. That is precisely why there can be no talk of a single uniform on these figures.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics, or the paint will crack once dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Vary the shades of the tunics and the shields between the figures; with a hired army uniformity would be out of place.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
