Responsibility details are not available.
A set of forty-eight unpainted figures of Italian line infantry of the First World War in 1:72 scale. It is the basic building block of an Italian force, to which assault troops, artillery and heavy weapons can then be added. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material.
The Italian army entered the war in 1915 and fought mainly in mountain terrain along the Isonzo River and in the Alps, that is, in conditions where an advance of a few hundred meters cost thousands of men. The soldiers wore gray-green uniforms and steel helmets, which became standard during the war. It was here that the eleventh Battle of the Isonzo and the breakthrough at Caporetto that followed took place.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics, or the paint will crack once dry. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Vary the gray-green shade of the uniform slightly between the soldiers; a uniform surface in a single tone looks artificial and the scene loses depth.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
