Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of Carthaginian veteran infantry in 1:32 scale. The large scale gives a figure room for painting work that cannot be managed in small scales: graded shadows, drawn-in eyes and patterns on the shields. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation. That is not a flaw but a property of the material.
The veteran infantry of the Carthaginian army went through many years of fighting during the campaign in Italy. It gradually added to its equipment with spoils from the defeated Roman legions, so its appearance was a mixture of Punic and Roman kit. It was these bodies that made up the core of the line at Cannae and later at Zama. The Carthaginian army, meanwhile, was not a national army but a combination of hired and allied contingents from all over the Mediterranean.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Use the combination of Punic and captured Roman equipment for a change of color; uniformity would be a mistake with these bodies.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
