Responsibility details are not available.
A set of eighteen unpainted figures of Austrian line infantry of the Napoleonic Wars in 1:32 scale, in a marching pose. The large scale gives a figure room for painting work that cannot be managed in 1:72: graded shadows, drawn-in eyes and the small details of equipment. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
Austrian line infantry wore white coats with colored facings that differed from regiment to regiment, and it was by these that the individual regiments were told apart. The army went through several reforms during the Napoleonic Wars and in 1809 proved the most capable opponent Napoleon met on the continent, when at Aspern it dealt him his first defeat in an open battle.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do not build the white coat out of pure white: start with a light gray and use white only on the highest points, or the figure will lose all its shadow and look flat.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
