Responsibility details are not available.
A set of eighteen unpainted figures of Union infantry of the American Civil War in 1:32 scale, in a marching pose. This is the second of two marching sets, which complement each other. Joining both gives a column in which the poses do not repeat as obviously as when a single set is used twice. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
The Union army was better and better supplied as the war went on, and its soldiers had the advantage over the Southerners of regular deliveries of both equipment and rations. The blue coats and lighter trousers were made by dozens of suppliers, so the shades differed within a single unit. For the modeler that is good news: uniformity is not needed and the scene looks truer when the shades are varied slightly.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Grade the blue uniform between the coat and the trousers. Apply dust to the boots and the bottom of the trousers according to the ground the column is marching over.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
