Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet and Russian heavy transport helicopter Mil Mi-26, NATO reporting name Halo, in the small 1:144 scale from Zvezda. The smaller scale makes the model a compact but strikingly impressive piece with its characteristic large cargo fuselage and massive main rotor. Check the actual package contents and the decals against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Mil Mi-26 is the largest series-built helicopter in the world. It was created in the Soviet Union as a heavy transport machine able to lift exceptionally heavy and bulky loads in its voluminous cargo cabin. It is carried by a powerful eight-blade main rotor with a tail rotor on the boom; it is powered by two turboshaft engines above the sizeable fuselage. The helicopter serves in military and civilian roles alike, from transporting equipment to rescue and firefighting operations.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with a thin cement for plastic; in the small 1:144 scale take care to sand the small joints cleanly. Give particular attention to the assembly of the rotor head and to the accurate seating of the main rotor blades, which determine the overall look of the model. Glue the cockpit glazing carefully with a cement for clear parts. After a gloss coat and the decals, accent the panel lines of the large cargo fuselage with a fine wash and add restrained wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
