The Ukrainian brand Mikromir specializes in unconventional subjects, and thanks to the tiny scale this small submarine is a quick project that takes little room. The model is supplied unassembled.
The Piranha was a small submarine meant for special and sabotage operations, able to carry divers and their equipment to a coast. It was marked by a compact hull of light construction and a small crew. Because of the secrecy of its role, this class long remained a less known chapter of the Soviet submarine fleet of the late Cold War era.
Thanks to the simple shape of the hull the build is straightforward. We would suggest sanding the hull seam carefully and using spot putty. For the smooth surface of a submarine a primer and spraying with an airbrush pay off; a single-color dark scheme can be livened up by lightly picking out the rivets and the hatches with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
