This resin set from Royal Model represents an ammunition belt for the American Browning heavy machine gun of .50 caliber (12.7 mm) in 1:16 scale. It is a detail accessory for vehicle models, weapon positions and figure scenes, not a kit. The casting of quality polyurethane resin faithfully captures the individual rounds as well as the links of the belt.
The ammunition belt runs from the ammunition box into the feed of the machine gun, over the mount or through the hands of the gunner. In the large 1:16 scale it gives a machine gun position an active and credible look.
Wash the part clean of mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting block and glue it on with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; build the links of the belt up in metallic shades, tune the projectiles with brass and copper colors and add a fine wash at the end. Do the sanding with respiratory protection.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and other material are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
